However, such a personas should not be confused with a target group. Personas can not only be defined for the content. NO-GO #1 - Texts much too long and boring

The best way to reach short texts is to announce the most important contents in a so-called lead at the beginning. Describe them in simple main sentences. Without many adjectives and nouns. Short sentences that are easy to understand and do not contain too many foreign or technical words. Moreover, asset rates often go down better than liability rates. The same applies to positive and negative formulations. Visitors much prefer to read the positive. Totally understandable - I think! Don't you?

First title and then lead - or vice versa?

Much can also be achieved by a good structuring and division of the texts. The title should be well thought-out and meaningful. The same applies to all intertitles and emphases. The lead is also very important; the reader can use it to find out about the entire content in a few short sentences.

In all these passages, particular care must be taken to ensure that they are simple and concise sections.

The eye eats with you as usual - isn't it?

Well, we can't really talk about food now, but I would say that good text looks are also encouraging to read. Therefore it is always interesting for web page visitors, if between the different, with information pumped up paragraphs some good and supporting diagrams or pictures are placed.

Last but not least, I would like to comment on the often discussed keywords. In most cases, these are determined for the entire company. Because under these search terms the website should appear in search machines like Google. This means that these keywords should be mentioned as often as possible. Be it in the alt tags of the pictures or in the normal text.

However, these keywords should not simply be distributed across the text. Especially not without context. So only use your keywords if they make sense. For these are no longer as important today as in earlier days.

So you write in first line for the customer and his understanding and only in second line for the search machines.

Outside opinion is often the best

Yes, I know, giving the written text to others for reading and commenting (= criticizing) is not the best thing. Believe me - this is not one of my favorite tasks either. But it is actually one of the most effective ways to get a good text. Of course, the text has already been proofread several times to ban all spelling and grammar mistakes. But whether the text is understandable enough also for laymen and whether this text is really suitable for a web page, can judge outsiders best. So my last tip to you is to give your text to a friend, girlfriend, parents or children to read before it is published.
