NO-GO #1 - Texts much too long and boring
The best way to reach short texts is to announce the most important contents in a so-called lead at the beginning. Describe them in simple main sentences. Without many adjectives and nouns. Short sentences that are easy to understand and do not contain too many foreign or technical words. Moreover, asset rates often go down better than liability rates. Yes, I know, giving the written text to others for reading and commenting (= criticizing) is not the best thing. Believe me - this is not one of my favorite tasks either. But it is actually one of the most effective ways to get a good text. Of course, the text has already been proofread several times to ban all spelling and grammar mistakes. But whether the text is understandable enough also for laymen and whether this text is really suitable for a web page, can judge outsiders best. So my last tip to you is to give your text to a friend, girlfriend, parents or children to read before it is published.
